Miss S attends a local preschool from Monday thru Thursday each week. She begins at 9 and I pick her up at 3. They do "school stuff" in the morning, have lunch, playtime and afterwards...they sleep.
When S first started this school back in September she would despise the nap times and lie on her "cot" pretending to be asleep.
All was good. Now, she actually sleeps and it's awful. The dreaded naps have turned our bedtimes into more hours of silent play, getting out of bed for every excuse out there and late nights.
S doesn't want to sleep nor do I think that she can after a long comfy nap at school.
It's a vicious cycle. She stays up late, is tired the next day, needs a nap at school and therefore isn't tired at the normal bedtime.
What do we do?

Can you tell them not to nap her at school? I know at Amelia's daycare they will just put them in quiet time where they can read a book but they don't sleep.
Great pics by the way!! She's a doll.
Oh no. Can you ask the teacher if they might be able to let her quietly look at a book or something during rest so maybe she will stay awake? We have never had rest time but Heather will next year and I am curious to see how that goes!
I wrote a letter to the teacher today and was told that Shay rarely ever sleeps during nap time. They said she mostly just does quiet time...but for some reason I don't believe it. She comes out of school almost every day telling me that she's slept. I do think she's sleeping longer than they're saying. Or maybe, she just has tons of energy and doesn't need a lot of sleep.
